On 26th July 2025, P3 Charity proudly marched through the heart of Nottingham, joining thousands to celebrate Nottingham Pride 2025. This was more than just our first ever Pride march – it was a powerful moment of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
For years, P3 Charity has had a presence at Pride through our stalls and outreach, but stepping out to march marked a new, heartfelt commitment to living our values out loud. Our teams from across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire came together, walking shoulder to shoulder with our LGBTQ+ colleagues, people we support and the wider community.
For P3, being at Pride is not a box-ticking exercise – it’s a visible promise that we are here for everyone, regardless of their race, religion, background or who they love. Pride is more than a celebration: it’s a statement that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen and supported for who they truly are.
Tracey McAndrews, Head of Support and Community Services for P3 North, shared why our presence at Pride Nottingham means so much: “Attending Pride is important for our organisation because it shows our genuine commitment to inclusion, equality and standing alongside the LGBTQ+ community. By being visible at Pride, we demonstrate that we are not only welcoming, but actively supportive of diversity within our workforce and the people we serve. It sends a clear message that we are proud of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and people we support – as well as our allies — and that we recognise the importance of creating safe, affirming spaces for everyone. Our presence at Pride is more than symbolic: it’s our values in action and our dedication to building a more inclusive and equitable society.”
At P3 Charity, our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion doesn’t end when the rainbow flags are packed away. Every day, we work to ensure that all our services are safe, respectful spaces where LGBTQ+ people can feel at home, heard and empowered. Within our teams, too, we strive to be a workplace where everyone can bring their whole selves to work, without fear of judgement or discrimination.
Through staff training, inclusive policies and our growing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, we’re proud to keep learning and improving. Because for P3, Pride is every day.
Our first Pride march won’t be our last. By being there, we’re showing the people we support and the wider Nottingham community that P3 Charity will keep making space for everyone. Inclusion is a journey, not a one-off event. We’re committed to learning, listening and doing better every day.
