P3 and the Environment

Climate change poses an ever-growing threat to humankind. The science is clear: Without action, our planet could see a three-degree temperature rise by the Century’s end, leading to severe weather, air and ocean pollution, wildlife extinction and rising sea levels.

As a national organisation, we won’t sit around and watch that happen. In the interest of the people we support, our colleagues, our volunteers and the people living in the communities in which we work, we have a responsibility to act now. That’s why we have made a commitment to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 (latest) across all our operations.

In 2019, P3 declared a Climate Emergency and published our first climate action plan, which was followed by our first Carbon Reduction Plan in 2022. In 2024, we began our partnership with TreeApp, which plants a tree for every new colleague who joins P3 (and there are a lot!).

Carbon Reduction Plan 2025 – 2027

P3 is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050, at the latest.

To support our commitment, we’ll report both total carbon emissions (tCO2e) and carbon intensity metrics per bedroom and per employee.
