Delivering mutual ESG and CSR impact
“During my volunteering day, I was involved in the eBay and P3 Charity Career’s Fair in west London. This event was aimed at providing support and guidance to young adults facing social exclusion and representation challenges. My participation alongside fellow eBayers at this event was to engage with the community, helping to bridge gaps and offer practical assistance and advice to those in need.
Volunteering with P3 was an enriching and fulfilling experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team that is committed to supporting disadvantaged young people. The hands-on involvement allowed me to directly contribute to the well-being of individuals facing social exclusion, providing me with a profound sense of purpose and accomplishment. The experience not only honed my organisational and interpersonal skills but also deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by these communities. Working with P3 was a great experience that has left a lasting impact on me, both personally and professionally.”
– Sidra, part of eBay’s recruitment team
“We are proud to support P3 Charity, which helps so many of the local communities and customers that we serve. The work they do to support local communities—health, wellbeing, employability skills and training and inclusion support, just to name a few—closely match National Grid’s priorities.
It has been a pleasure working with the P3 team this year and we were delighted to sponsor a garden transformation project at one of their supported accommodations in Gloucestershire. Several of our employees have enjoyed helping with the transformation and supporting the valuable work this charity does, by offering their time and skills through our new employee volunteering programme.
We are committed to supporting local charities and community groups and look forward to continuing our support of P3 Charity.”
– Emily Green, from National Grid’s Engagement and Social Obligations, Corporate Affair Department
“The group of us from Kier usually work across the country, so it’s been great for our team to get together and do something that’s non-work related while doing something that’s hugely valuable for the community. It’s a great mix for us of both social value and work benefit.”
– Philip Miles, Kier Group’s Pre-Construction Director
“Working across such a broad depth of accommodations all over the country, the capacity of P3’s maintenance team is really stretched right now; therefore, the presence of the Kier volunteers has made a huge impact for not just the people we support at P3, but our team. What would have taken three months has only taken a day!”
– Andrew Bannister, Deputy Maintenance Manager for P3 Charity
“Our volunteering day was a truly rewarding experience for all who took part. It was wonderful to see the teams unite in giving back and making such a meaningful difference to the P3 teens. The best bit was working alongside some of the teens who joined in the painting and gardening for the day!”
– Ev Johnson, Document Control Manager for Mace Group
“The Mace volunteer day was a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose to support and uplift young people in the community of Hillingdon. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, kindness and a genuine sense of commitment. Volunteers worked side by side with four of our young people, who enthusiastically got involved and brought incredible energy to the day. Their participation was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and empowerment.”
– Laura Lawson, Regional Young People and Services Manager for P3 Charity
Barratt has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire communities through a partnership with P3 that sees Barratt gift our development teams with timber lengths, tiles, external and internal doors and kitchen units to support P3’s own continuous community-development initiatives.
This relationship enables P3 to continue to provide quality, affordable housing and supported housing, while supporting Barratt to achieve both environmental and social social value targets.
Mark Cotes, Managing Director of Barratt, said: “We are immensely proud to support P3 and contribute to its mission of building inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Strutt & Parker has been a corporate partner of P3 for more than 10 years, donating more than £200,000 through corporate sponsorship and raising even more through team challenge events, such as the London Marathon. Strutt & Parker’s support for P3’s west London projects has enabled us to fund various programmes that receive no statutory funding, such as our Football Academy and Junior Club.
This years-long partnership includes PR, marketing and supporter-engagement events and has enabled Strutt & Parker to embed themselves in the Notting Hill community as a ‘preferred agency’.
Miles Meacock, Partner a Strutt & Parker’s Notting Hill branch, said: “At Strutt & Parker, we understand the importance of community and we take great pleasure in working with a genuinely local charity. We have been really inspired by the work RPT does, working tirelessly to help less privileged youngsters in W11 to learn new skills, develop confidence and get a better start in life.”
