We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to join us as a Volunteer Administrator at our centre in Halton, Cheshire.

As a Volunteer Administrator, you will support the team at our temporary accommodation service for families facing homelessness, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. Your support will play an important part in ensuring the service runs smoothly and that staff have the capacity to provide high-quality care to residents. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office administration while making a meaningful contribution to your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone calls and accurately record messages.
  • Input data onto relevant systems and support with general record-keeping.
  • Assist in processing referrals using both digital and manual systems.
  • Call or text clients to remind them of scheduled appointments or group sessions.
  • Support the preparation of documents and materials for sessions, such as photocopies, filing and minute-taking.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality support.
  • Handle personal data sensitively, respecting confidentiality and data protection guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly, patient and approachable.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
  • Non-judgemental and committed to supporting others.
  • An interest in office work and administration.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Respect for professional boundaries, confidentiality and equality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the service.
  • No prior admin experience required: just a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A shared commitment to promoting the wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

What We Offer:

  • Training and Development: Opportunities to build skills and knowledge, including a full induction and training on safeguarding and professional boundaries.
  • Supportive Team: Work alongside a passionate and motivated team with a dedicated line manager and ongoing support from our Volunteering Department, including access to regular check-ins and optional peer support sessions.
  • Experience and Networking: Gain valuable experience and connections.
  • Potential Opportunities: Pathways for future roles or employment within P3.
  • Expenses: Reimbursement of reasonable travel or activity expenses.
