Role Title: Community Engagement Volunteer

Location: Derbyshire

Time Commitment: Flexible (one-off events throughout the year)

 

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to join us as an volunteer to help run our community events in Derbyshire.

As a Community Engagement Volunteer in Derbyshire, you will play a key role in representing P3 Charity at local events across the county. By being the friendly face of P3, you’ll help us raise awareness of our services, share information and connect with people in the community. This is a flexible, sociable role where you can make a real difference by helping more people access the support they need.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent P3 Charity at community events, engaging with members of the public in a welcoming and approachable way.
  • Help to raise awareness of P3’s services and the support we provide.
  • Support staff in setting up and taking down promotional stands and materials.
  • Share information and signpost people to relevant services.
  • Encourage positive conversations about wellbeing, inclusion and community support.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone friendly, approachable and confident in engaging with people from all walks of life.
  • Enjoy being part of a team and working with others.
  • Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks at events.
  • Reliable and committed to representing P3 positively.
  • No formal qualifications required – enthusiasm and a passion for community are most important.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming and positive environment
  • A DBS check may be required for some events.
  • Basic IT skills would be helpful, but are not essential.

 

What We Offer:

  • Induction and Training: full induction and orientation, including training on P3’s values, services, safety and procedures.
  • Ongoing Support: work alongside a passionate and motivated team with a dedicated line manager and ongoing support from our Volunteering Department, including access to regular check-ins and optional peer support sessions.
