Role Title: Volunteer Support Buddy
Location: Choice of P3 Warwickshire hub: Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Rugby or Stratford-upon-Avon

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to join us as a Support Buddy in Warwickshire.
As a Volunteer Support Buddy, you’ll provide consistent, friendly and non-judgmental support to individuals with complex needs, such as mental health challenges, homelessness, addiction recovery, social isolation and those navigating life transitions. The role aims to promote wellbeing, build confidence and reduce loneliness through companionship and informal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a supportive and trusting relationship with your matched individual, or ‘buddy’.
- Offer regular companionship, either through in-person meetups, phone calls or virtual contact.
- Encourage and motivate individuals to engage with their community, access local resources and attend appointments.
- Support your buddy to identify and work towards personal goals, such as joining a group, building a routine and improving confidence.
- Be a consistent and reliable presence in the person’s life, respecting boundaries and confidentiality.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and reliable approach to volunteering.
- Ability to maintain boundaries and respect confidentiality.
- Reliability and a commitment to regular contact.
- An understanding or willingness to learn about the challenges faced by people with complex life situations.
- No formal qualifications required, but lived experience and emotional intelligence are highly valued.
