Role Title: Meet and Greet Volunteer

Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire

Time Commitment: 3 hours per week

 

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to join us as a Meet and Greet Volunteer at our hub in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

As a Meet and Greet Volunteer, you’ll offer a friendly, welcoming presence to visitors, helping to create a warm, inclusive environment where every visitor feels valued and supported. Your presence will play an important role in building trust and reducing social isolation within the local community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors to the hub in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying up before and after group sessions.
  • Prepare and serve drinks, as needed.
  • Interact with visitors and help foster a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Offer encouragement and support to help people feel confident to participate in hub activities.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers to support the group’s success.

  • No formal experience is required – just a genuine desire to help others and engage with your community.
  • A DBS check will be required for the role.
