Role Title: Volunteer Gardener

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to join us as a Volunteer Gardener at our service in Coventry.
As a Volunteer Gardener, you will help transform and maintain a welcoming and vibrant outdoor environment that serves as a temporary accommodation service supporting families facing homelessness. Your contribution will provide a peaceful green space that encourages wellbeing, learning and a sense of pride in the local environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for gardening who wish to make a meaningful impact in their community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tidying up gardens and outdoor spaces.
- Planting flowers and maintaining existing greenery.
- Weeding and maintaining garden beds.
- Creating and maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for residents.
- Supporting seasonal gardening projects and improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for gardening and the benefits of outdoor spaces.
- Friendly, proactive and community-minded attitude.
- Good communication and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently with attention to safety and detail.
- Commitment to creating inclusive and welcoming environments for all.
- Some experience in gardening or groundskeeping is desirable, but not essential.
- Willingness to complete necessary training and a DBS check (if required).
- Ability to volunteer regularly and maintain clear communication with the team.
