A Taste of Togetherness: P3 Wolverhampton’s Curry Night Fundraiser

tear drop shape

P3 Charity’s Wolverhampton team brought the local community together for a Curry Night Fundraiser on the 5th and 6th of August, uniting people over delicious food while raising vital funds for young residents at Roland Elcock House.

Hosted at Nekare in Wolverhampton, the restaurant’s team created a special three-course set menu for guests to enjoy. Between ticket sales, a raffle and generous donations from local supporters, the night was a resounding success — raising both spirits and funds. The generosity of Nekare’s team and guests has helped build connections and inspire hope for young people who need a fresh start.

As supported accommodation for 16–25-year-olds experiencing or at risk of homelessness, Roland Elcock House provides a safe, stable place to stay, learn independent living skills, and access 24-hour support. Young residents receive advice and referrals for housing, education, employment, mental health, and substance misuse services — all designed to help them build confidence and independence for a brighter future.

Every pound raised from the Curry Night will go directly towards taking these young people on a trip to the seaside – something that for most has often been inaccessible. Any additional donations will go towards new home starter kits and essentials when the young residents move into permanent housing. These kits turn an empty space into a home, giving young people the comfort, dignity, and practical help they need to move forward.

Candice Gordon, Service Manager for P3 Charity’s Roland Elcock House, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the P3 community together for a night of great food and an even greater cause. Every meal sold helps us give young people the opportunities, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.”

This is echoed by Shihab Rahman, Director of Nēkarē Restaurant, who added: “We’re so happy to host P3’s fundraiser at Nēkarē as we’ve always been about connecting with the local community. We were honoured to have the opportunity of participating in the great work that P3 do and that the funds are going to such a good cause! It was lovely hosting such a great bunch of people.”
