P3 Charity Launches Cambridgeshire Pop-Up Hubs to Support People Facing Homelessness

As temperatures drop and the cost of living continues to put pressure on many households, P3 Charity is stepping up support for people across East Cambridgeshire, South Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire.

P3 Charity has recently been awarded a Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Grant from the government, which will help us fund a short-term initiative running from 1 November 2025 to 31 March 2026. During this time, P3 will open a series of pop-up hubs across Cambridgeshire, providing a welcoming space where people can drop in for practical help, advice and connection.

In the last nine months, the team have had 38 referrals and supported 15 people into safe, permanent housing with the option of ongoing, tailored support to help them rebuild their lives with stability. This provision will help P3 extend its reach across Cambridgeshire, offering vital support to people who might otherwise have nowhere to turn. By working closely with local partners and communities, P3 can continue to provide safer pathways and better outcomes for the people receiving support.

The pop-up hubs will offer housing and tenancy advice, benefits and employment support, mental health and substance misuse guidance and homelessness prevention services. Each location will bring together the strengths of P3’s existing teams, offering an expansion of its Street Outreach Service which supports people currently sleeping rough or at risk of losing their home to stay safely housed.

Robyn Machin, Regional People and Services Manager for P3 Charity in Cambridgeshire, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver this service. If you are experiencing homelessness or have previously accessed support from our Street Outreach Team and need advice and guidance, please drop in to one of our hubs where we will work alongside you to achieve your goals.”

The initiative reflects our long-standing commitment to tackling homelessness and supporting people to live independently across Cambridgeshire. Since establishing services in the area in 2018, P3 has worked alongside local councils, community partners and residents to ensure that vulnerable people have access to the right help at the right time.

Alongside the new pop-up hubs, P3 continues to provide a range of other services in Cambridgeshire, including Mental Health Accommodation and Older People’s Support.
