What is STAIRs?

STAIRs stands for the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements. It is a new government standard designed to make it easier for people living in social housing to access information about their landlord and the services they provide.

The new requirements are being introduced in two stages. From 1 October 2026, housing associations and social housing providers, including P3 Housing, must publish key information for tenants to access. From 1 April 2027, tenants will also have the right to request information directly, and landlords will be required to respond within 30 days.

The following information only applies to P3 Housing tenants.

You can find our full STAIRs policy here.

This webpage brings together useful information from across our website in one place, making it easier to find out how we manage our homes, how we’re performing, how we spend money and how we work alongside tenants to improve our services.

The information is organised using the categories set out in the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) and includes links to the reports, policies and information we already share. We’ll regularly review and update this information to make sure it stays accurate, accessible and easy to understand.

If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help. From April 2027, you’ll also be able to make a formal STAIRs Information Request for information about how we manage our social housing services.

Social Housing Management

P3 Housing manages its own homes and as well as some on behalf of its parent organisation, P3 Charity. As a result, some of the policies that are found on this page as part of our publication scheme are P3 Group policies that apply to P3 Housing rather than standalone P3 Housing policies.

P3 Housing publishes new and revised policies upon receipt of Board approval. We are currently awaiting approval for the following:

  • Decant Policy
  • Repairs and Maintenance Policy
  • ASB Policy
  • Pet Policy
  • Competence and Conduct Standard Policy and Code of Conduct
  • Aids and Adaptations Policy
  • Damp and Mould Policy
  • Fire Safety Policy
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Service Charge Policy
  • Housing Management Policy

We aim to publish these following our next Board meeting on 5th November 2026.
