When it comes to supporting young families in Nottinghamshire, Paul Legge is going above and beyond – quite literally.
Paul, a Finance Analyst at P3 Charity, is swapping spreadsheets for a parachute as he takes on a skydive to raise funds for P3’s Mansfield and Ashfield Young Parents Service this July. It’s a bold leap, but one rooted in something simple: helping young parents and their children get the best possible start in life.
As Paul says, “As I approach 40, I wanted to do something meaningful and gain a new perspective. Taking on this challenge felt like a fitting way to do that, while also raising funds for a truly deserving service. Any support we can provide to these young parents during such difficult times is incredibly important and well worth the leap!”
P3’s Young Parents Service supports families during the early years, an important time that shapes a child’s development, wellbeing and future. For many young parents, this period can feel overwhelming. Financial pressures, isolation and limited access to resources can make it even harder.
That’s where our service steps in.
The team works alongside young parents to offer practical support, reassurance and guidance; helping them build confidence, strengthen relationships with their children, and feel less alone.
Supporting young parents aged 16 to 21, our service has 15 accommodation spaces, where support workers are on-site 24/7 to give young families the tools they need for a stable future.
Every donation raised through Paul’s skydive will go directly towards supporting these families in meaningful, lasting ways.
Funding could help:
These things aren’t just resources, they’re opportunities. Opportunities for bonding, learning and building confidence. With the right support, young parents can feel more hopeful about the future, using their new skills to build a positive home environment for their family.
Paul’s skydive can help make that happen. Every penny raised will go directly to young families across Mansfield and Ashfield. If you can, please support Paul and help P3 continue to be there for young parents when it matters most.
