We’re incredibly proud of three inspiring runners – Victoria, Mickey and Agnes – who took on the 26.2 mile London Marathon in support of Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT), raising more than £15,000 to support young people in North Kensington to build confidence and realise their potential.
Their fundraising efforts and every mile ran helped to raise awareness of RPT’s life-changing work with young people, highlighting the importance of providing safe spaces, trusted relationships and meaningful opportunities for young people in their local community.
Ruddy Adu-Sarfo, Youth and Community Programme Manager for RPT, said, “A huge thank you to Agnes, Victoria and Mickey for taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Marathon to raise money for our youth and community services at RPT. Your determination, commitment and generosity mean so much to us.
“By pushing yourselves every step of the way, you’ve helped raise vital funds that will make a real difference to the young people and families we support. Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment and thank you for going the extra mile for our young people. We couldn’t do what we do without supporters like you.”
Thanks to their efforts, and the generosity of everyone who supported them, these funds will go directly towards programmes that empower young people to develop skills, grow in confidence and build brighter futures.
Rugby Portobello Trust is P3’s west London youth hub, working with local children, young people and their families to help the youngest members of the community fulfil their potential, keep safe and build and engage with wider society.
RPT provides a range of activities to help young people grow and develop key skills both in and outside of the classroom. Through educational support, art sessions, music programmes, sporting activities, mental health support, mentoring programmes, employment hubs and more, RPT supports children, young people and their families to be happy, healthy and engaged members of society.

After months of fundraising and training, race day brought excitement and an incredible sense of community. Their hard work truly paid off, with Victoria, Mickey and Agnes completing the 26.2-mile challenge all with fantastic finish times:
Victoria – 4:14
Mickey – 4:35
Agnes – 4:43
Thanking everyone who has supported her, Victoria joked, “Two years have passed since my last marathon and as a glutton for punishment, I [decided] to run again in aid of the wonderful Rugby Portobello Trust. Every donation given has made the horror of every training run and each step of the race itself a little less painful!”
Mickey said, “This year, I took on the London Marathon as part of a personal goal that’s been years in the making: completing all six World Marathon Majors. It’s a challenge that has demanded discipline, consistency and heart. But for me, this race isn’t just about the finish line. It’s about using the miles for something bigger than myself.
“That’s why I’m proud to [have raised money] for the Rugby Portobello Trust. They do life-changing work at the centre of their community, supporting children, young people and families through education, opportunity and vital services that help people thrive. Training for a marathon teaches you that progress is built step by step, day by day, and the Trust embodies that same spirit by showing up consistently for the people who need it most. Every donation helps strengthen that mission, and I’m incredibly grateful for your support as I run these 26.2 miles with purpose.”
