Helping Change Lives in the Heart of Derbyshire: P3 BeWell Team Raises Funds for the Local Community

P3 Charity’s BeWell Team in Derbyshire are celebrating a fantastic community win, raising an incredible £1,200 to help local people build brighter futures! On 13 August 2025, Tapton Park Golf Club in Chesterfield was buzzing with laughter, games and the smell of freshly baked cakes as families flocked to the BeWell Family Fun Day. With free entry for all, every penny came from good old-fashioned fundraising fun – face painting, cake stalls, raffles, a bouncy castle and more. It was a joyful day that brought the community together and will make a real difference to the lives of the people the team supports.

Although the service is well-loved within the community, the local hubs are in need of a little refresh. The money raised will go directly towards creating warmer, brighter spaces for the people we support, as well as providing fully funded trips and activities to improve wellbeing and community connection.

As well as raising vital funds, the event helped shine a light on the team’s work — supporting people who are experiencing or recovering from mental ill health, including those who need intensive help with hoarding behaviours.

Lauren Taylor, P3 Charity’s BeWell Service Manager, said: “The Bewell and Hoarding Mental Health Service team have worked incredibly hard over the past few months, pulling together and working collaboratively with each other in making our family fun day a successful one. Thanks to them, we are hoping to make real life changes in supporting people who access our services by creating more welcoming hub spaces and safe spaces, offer fully funded trips and activities and support their ideas and suggestions. It’s great how much we can achieve when the team pulls together.”

The P3 BeWell Personal Budgets Service helps people to build confidence and live more independently. By providing flexible, tailored support, the team works with people to improve their mental health, maintain their tenancies and connect with their community. This can include practical help with managing money, accessing social activities, or simply having someone to listen and offer guidance when times are tough.

The success of this event is a testament to the dedication of the BeWell Team and the generosity of the local community. Every penny raised will help change lives, but support doesn’t have to stop there — you can help by spreading the word, volunteering your time, or simply being there for someone who needs it. Together, we can make sure that everyone in Derbyshire has the chance to thrive.
