Following the success of P3’s Aspiring Leaders programme last year, we are excited to launch our second workplace development programme: Emerging Leaders.
Delivered once again in partnership with Homeless Link, the programme will bring together emerging managers from across P3 to build leadership skills, share experiences and grow the confidence needed to create lasting change both at P3 and across the sector.
The Emerging Leaders programme is designed specifically for new managers, supporting them to strengthen their existing skills while developing new ones as they step into long-term leadership roles. Through a series of structured learning sessions, peer discussions and practical exercises, participants will explore topics such as leadership styles, decision-making, team development and managing change.
Amy Winter, Director of Operations for Adult Services for P3 Charity, and co-founder of the Emerging Leaders course, said: “We’re incredibly proud to launch the Emerging Leaders Development Programme. This is an investment in our future, a space where colleagues can grow in confidence, develop their leadership identity and lead with purpose. It champions the strengths and compassion already within our teams while shaping a culture rooted in kindness, accountability and authentic connection. By nurturing talent in this way, we continue to strengthen our ability to deliver outstanding support for the people and communities we work alongside, now and in the years to come.”
Building on the foundations of last year’s programme – Aspiring Leaders, which supported people with leadership skills before taking on a managerial role – Emerging Leaders aims to support the current generation of leaders at P3 by helping them navigate the challenges of management while creating supportive, resilient teams that can deliver meaningful support for people and communities.
This is echoed by Lucy Horitz, Senior Learning and Development Manager at Homeless Link, who added: “Homeless Link is delighted to be collaborating with P3’s leadership development work once again, by delivering an Emerging Leaders programme for their managers. P3’s commitment to investing in their workforce is commendable and will pay dividends for them in future in supporting a happy, healthy workforce.”
With hopes to expand both courses to the wider homelessness and social care sector, the project has been designed to be easily scalable. By building a flexible framework that can be adapted for organisations of different sizes and structures, the programme has the potential to support a growing network of professionals across the sector.
As demand for strong, compassionate leadership continues to rise, this approach ensures that more frontline staff and new managers can access high-quality development opportunities and build the skills needed to drive meaningful change in their communities.
This course is one of many opportunities we aim to provide to our colleagues. As a values-driven organisation, we recruit for values and train for skill. Click here if you’re ready to use your skills to make a meaningful difference.
