P3 Charity’s Roland Elcock House will continue supporting young people across Wolverhampton following a two-year extension to its contract with City of Wolverhampton Council.
P3 Charity has secured a further two years to deliver supported accommodation and support services at Roland Elcock House, continuing its work alongside the City of Wolverhampton Council to help young people build the skills, confidence and independence they need to move towards a more secure future.
Roland Elcock House provides supported accommodation for young people aged 18 to 21 who are leaving care and are at risk of homelessness. Alongside a safe and stable place to live, P3’s team works with each young person to develop practical independent living skills and address the challenges that may be preventing them from moving forward.
Support can include help with managing a tenancy, budgeting, maintaining a home, accessing education or employment, developing routines and connecting with other services. The aim is to support young people to build the skills and confidence they need to move on to independent living.
The service is accessed through a referral from the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Young Persons Team.
The two-year contract extension reflects the continued partnership between P3 Charity and the City of Wolverhampton Council and their shared commitment to supporting young people in the city.
Tracey McAndrews, Director of Young People and Family Services at P3 Charity, said:
“Securing this extension reflects the strength of the partnership between P3 and the City of Wolverhampton Council, and our shared belief that young people deserve the very best support as they move towards independence. Through Roland Elcock House, we provide not only a safe place to live, but also the practical support, encouragement and opportunities that help young people build confidence and create lasting change in their lives. We are delighted to continue working alongside the Council to support young people in Wolverhampton to achieve their goals and realise their potential.”
At Roland Elcock House, the focus is on more than providing accommodation. By working alongside young people to understand their individual circumstances, the team helps them develop the practical skills, confidence and resilience needed to take their next steps.
The contract extension means P3 Charity and the City of Wolverhampton Council can continue building on this work, ensuring young people have access to the support they need as they work towards greater independence.
