Families Invited to Summer Fun Day in Chesterfield

Families across Derbyshire are being encouraged to come together this summer for a community fundraising event in Chesterfield in support of P3 Charity’s BeWell service.

Taking place at 11am on Monday 17th August 2026 at Tapton Golf Club during the school summer holidays, the family-friendly fun day promises a packed programme of entertainment, activities and community spirit, all while raising vital funds to support local people experiencing mental health challenges and social isolation.

The event, led by P3 Charity’s Derbyshire BeWell team, will feature stalls, raffles, a tombola, games and creative displays designed by local schools, making it the perfect affordable summer day out for families of all ages.

The fundraiser builds on the success of last year’s event, which brought together the local community to raise funds for trips, activities and experiences for the people supported by the BeWell service.

Thanks to donations raised in 2025, people supported by BeWell were able to enjoy trips to the pantomime, visits to local parks and days out to places such as Matlock; opportunities that helped reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and create lasting memories.

This year, the team hopes to raise enough money to provide a trip to the seaside for the people they support, giving them the chance to enjoy experiences that they may not have had access to in the past.

P3 Charity’s BeWell Derbyshire Personal Budgets Service supports adults experiencing mental ill-health and helps people live independently, build confidence and reduce social isolation through tailored support, activities and community connections.

Alicia Doyle, Senior Wellbeing Worker, who is leading the event, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing our Family Fun Day back to Chesterfield for another year. Any support towards P3 Charity’s BeWell Service means so much to us and seeing first-hand the difference these funds make to the people supported by our service is truly special.

“Thanks to the money raised last year, we were able to organise trips and days out that simply wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. This year, we’re hoping to create even more lasting memories by giving the people we support the chance to enjoy a trip to the seaside, even more day trips to reduce isolation and enabling safe spaces in our hubs. If you can come along, we’d love to see you there!”

P3 Charity supports more than 81,000 people every year across the UK through services focused on mental health, homelessness, wellbeing and family support.

Local residents are encouraged to attend, bring family and friends and help make a real difference to people in their community.
